Use of AIS

The Program is intended for navigators, the sea pilots using AIS equipment The purpose of the course is studying of the basic characteristics, principles of action and use of AIS equipment for safety of navigation. In the basis of the course the international and national documents defining purpose, structure, functions and the order of use of AIS equipment on vessels and at coastal centers are taken. The program of the course is focused on use of the real AIS equipment simulated in a navigating simulator. For carrying out of practical lesson AIS information is used together with Radar/ARPA, ECDIS equipment.
