Survival craft and rescue boats other than fast rescue boats
The program is developed according to requirements of the STCW-78/95 Code, taking into account the recommendations of typical IMO courses: 1.23 - Experts on life boats and rafts (30 hours), meets mandatory requirements to the competence, stated in Chapter VI (Section VI/2, table A-VI/2-1) STCW-78/95.
Each candidate on training under the given program should be not younger than 18 years and have the approved experience of work on a vessel of not less than 12 months, or to pass the approved rate of training and to have the approved experience of work on a vessel of not less than six months.
The program covers corresponding training concerning the following:
- Preparation, embarkation and descent of life boats and rafts to water and a safe withdrawal from a vessel;
- Rise of life boats, rafts and on duty boats;
- Start and operation of the life boat engine;
- Controls of actions in conditions of a survival after vessel?s leaving;
- Uses and a choice of the communication and alarm equipment;
- Rendering of the first medical aid to rescued people.
